September 2020: In a year where we had rescheduled, canceled and shut down 720 events, SidestreetMKTS was born. It was a welcoming chance in crazy times to come together, smile, breathe – and support local small businesses. Thanks to our Oakwood Square and Plain Township community partners, we found a way for artists, makers and foodies to thrive and grow – even through 2021 – in a simple greenspace inside the Oakwood Square Plaza.

SATURDAYS ARE FOR SHOPPING!

One Saturday a month over 65 tents and trucks set up inside the “STREETS” of SidestreetMKTS. Some vendors live right around the corner. Others drive over an hour to share their handmade, homemade, happilymade goods. A variety of foodie trucks join throughout the season with tacos as a staple and market fave. Some are old friends and others brand spanking new to the market and their business! Beekeepers, bakers, candle makers, jewelry artists and boutiques – all work hard to bring their A-game on market day.

HOLIDAY MARKET, an enchanting experience reminiscent of European Christmas Markets and Hallmark movies, is back by popular demand and is set to be even grander in scope and more consistent in design. This delightful fusion of local shopping and festive activities is meticulously curated and managed by the experienced 720 Market team.

Our primary venues include the stunning new Plain Township Amphitheater, which comes alive during the offseason, and the ever-popular Oakwood Square Plaza, a dynamic multi-use space teeming with restaurants, bars, retail outlets, and a showcase of talented artists and entertainers.

This four-weekend event will be vigorously promoted and marketed as a family-friendly holiday tourism destination right in the heart of Canton, Ohio. Mark your calendars for the grand launch in November 2024, and get ready to be swept away by the magic of the HOLIDAY MARKET at Oakwood Square!

MEET LYNN & DAVE WITH THE 720 TEAM: Lifetime North Cantonians and creative folks by nature, 720 Market creators professionally position themselves as makers-by-day as well. Dave Shimko is an all-around craftsman and Lynn owns Shimko Design where she’s been creating award-winning marketing materials locally and nationally since 1994.
